1899
Built by the city, for the city
Construction begins on the Mirowskie Halls. Warsaw is creating a modern home for trade, soon to become part of everyday life. Traders, fresh produce and daily encounters will shape the character of this place for generations to come.
The post-war years
Rebuilt alongside Warsaw
Following wartime destruction, the Hall is rebuilt. For a time, it serves as a bus depot, meeting the needs of a city finding its feet again. Its purpose changes, while its connection to everyday Warsaw life endures.
1953
A new sporting identity
The Hall becomes home to the Gwardia sports club, from which it takes its present-day name. Boxing and other sporting events draw crowds, while moments shared at the ringside become lasting memories for generations of Warsaw residents.
2017
Warsaw gathers around the table
The Hall reopens with a fresh approach, bringing together a food market, places to eat and events. Flavours, conversations and encounters fill its historic interior. Around shared tables, new friendships form and another generation makes memories here.
Today
Hala Gwardii is coming back
The revitalisation of Hala Gwardii is beginning. With care for its historic architecture, we are preparing the Hall’s return to everyday city life. A market, independent food concepts, culture and sport will share a home at plac Mirowski 3.
